MUMBAI: Colors has launched a new show Spy Bahu, starring Sana Sayyad and Sehban Azim in the lead roles. The story of Spy Bahu is lead-centric and depicts the love story of a detective and a terror-suspect.

Spy Bahu is bankrolled by Ashvini Yardi under her production house Viniyard Productions.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Ashvini, who spoke briefly about her plan of action for 2022, her struggling phase, and more.

Why did it take you so much time to be back with television shows? “I had done Jamai Raja and was also working on OTT shows. Masaba Masaba was a concept that I thought about and worked on because it took a lot of time. I do content in which I really believe in.”

What is your plan of action in the upcoming year? “So Masaba 2 would be coming soon, and there are no scripts that I've shortlisted yet. I'm also looking forward to movies, because after Chopsticks, I haven't done it again. I just felt that I must try something else, and OTT seems like a perfect platform for it, but I'm a storyteller, so platform doesn't really matter to me. It's the story that matters at the end of the day.”

You've worked with channels, and now, you're a producer. What's the difference in its working styles? “There are different battles in both jobs. When I was heading the channels, it was more like a corporate life. And while being a producer, it was more of a fresh plan and new battle for me. I enjoyed both the phases and I love challenges.

How was your struggling phase? “I started in 1993, so I was a part of all the experiments at that time. So, there weren't struggles as such, but I've done my part of hard work. It was more of a learning phase than a struggling phase.”

Have you ever thought of trying your luck in front of the camera? "I get this a lot, but being a producer, I won't let anyone put their money on me, because I'm very bad in front of the camera. I'm very camera conscious and I hate it."

Stay tuned for more news from the entertainment industry.
