MUMBAI: Rani Mukerji is a phenomenal actress and there's no denying it. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actress got married to director, producer Aditya Chopra in 2014. But this Bollywood jodi's union didn't come without its own share of rumours and controversies. Aditya was earlier married to Payal Khanna for eight years. Towards the end of their relationship, various reports constantly claimed that Rani was the reason behind the divorce.
Rani shut down all those rumours and also stated that she isn't the kind of actress to be involved with a producer. She was quoted saying, "Contrary to all rumours, I started seeing him only when he was out of his divorce and was not my producer. I started seeing him at a point when I was not working with him as dating your producer was not my cup of tea. My last three films in the past three years. No One Killed Jessica, Talaash and Aiyyaa were not with him as the producer."
When quizzed on why she never thought about addressing these rumours earlier, Rani went on to say that the sources behind them are people with "some agenda" and that even though her image was getting "maligned," everyone around her was protected.

Rani and Aditya welcomed a baby girl Adira in 2015. The doting parents have chosen to keep their daughter away from the limelight and she has been snapped barely a few times until now. While the couple is extremely private about their off-screen lives, Rani and Aditya were snapped outside a popular Mumbai eatery on the occasion of the latter's birthday earlier this month.
On the film front, Rani was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 alongside Saif Ali Khan that failed to make a mark and received a mixed reaction from the audience. The actress will next be seen in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.
