MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has become the longest-running show on TV right now. Abhimanyu and Akshara are winning hearts with their love.
Currently, Neil tells Akshara that he wants to wash her feet and put tilak. He asks Akshara to remove her sandals and the Birlas take them away. Aarohi calls it cheating. Neil then washes Akshara's feet but tells her that she won't be getting her sandals back.
The Goenkas then tell them that it's time for the pheras and Akshara asks for her sandal back. Abhimanyu then lifts her and takes her to the mandap. The wedding rituals begin and Abhimanyu tells the panditji to do the mantras peacefully and not rush into anything. Looking at the situation Vansh, Reem and Aarohi go to search for the sandals.
While Aarohi is searching, Neil follows her and reveals that she will never get the sandals as he is wearing them, later, Aarohi is called for the gathbandhan rasam and Abhi allows her to do it, but doesn't miss on a chance of taunting her.
Mahima gets a message from the conference as an invite but they are upset as the invite is not for them but Akshara and Abhimanyu. Anand exclaims but Akshara is not even a doctor, this is all Abhimanyu's planning to give recognition to Akshara.
In the upcoming episode, the priest calls for the bride's parents for kanyadan. The Goenkas are in tears because Akshara's parents are no more. Akshara then asks Kairav to do her kanyadan. Kairav and Akshara are quite emotional at this moment as they have flashbacks of their childhood. Akshara gives Kairav the same respect and importance as her parents in the ritual.
