Sajid Nadiadwala's 2 States set for release on 18 April 2014

Sajid Nadiadwala’s 2 States starring newcomers Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor has been scheduled to be released on 18 April, 2014. Directed by Sreerag Nambiar, the film is based on a novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat in 2009. Said Bhagat in confirmation, "2 States will release on April 18 2014. Long wait. Hopefully, well worth it." The film is the story of Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan (Alia Bhatt) who hail from two different states of India, deeply in love and intend to get married. Now their only task is to convince both their parents and make them meet and know each other. For this, they go for a holiday trip to Goa. But their dream ends as Ananya's parents find something fishy between Krish's mom and him. Learning all this, Ananya's family decides not to get them married. But finally, Krish's father who was like an enemy for Krish, helps his son and Ananya get married as he convinces Ananya's family well. All is well that ends well, finally they get married and have two kids. Alia and Arjun are currently shooting for the film in Ahmedabad.
