Twelfth Indian Telly Awards - Actor In A Comic Role
Earlier in the day we wrote about the Actresses in a Comic Role category and now it’s time to write about the nominees for the Actors in a Comic Role at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. We all know that sense of humour comes naturally to most of the males. So, let’s see who all feature in our nomination list. Going alphabetically, Ali Asgar as captain Vikram Khana (Juju) of SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju (Eagle Films Pvt. Ltd) is indeed very hilarious. It’s not like he intentionally tries saying funny lines but with a Jeannie in his life, things do get difficult for him. Plus his reaction to every situation turns out to be funny. And we don’t think we need to talk much about Ali’s acting skills; he is good at whatever he does. Next on our list is the very talented Atul Parchure. Atul, as Bhavesh Krishnakant Vasavda, plays a common man in SAB TV’s R. K. Laxman Ki Duniya (Hats Off Productions). He is usually seen solving some or the other issues in his household which turns out to be humorous. Furthermore, if we relate to Daya Ben as Charlie Chaplin, her husband Jethalal Champaklal Gada will definitely have some similarities. However, Dilip Joshi, as Jethalal of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) has just one thing in common with Charlie and that’s his moustache. We know you agree with us (wink). Jethalal, is seen as someone who loves his wife but at the same time he has an eye on his neighbour’s good looking wife too. He also usually lands up in trouble which adds up to the fun element in the serial. Jeetu Shivhare, as Gadha Prasad of SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar (Garima Productions), is seen as a very innocent man who will do exactly what you’d ask him to do. Therefore, even if you’re being sarcastic about certain things, he’d end up doing the same. He also has a very funny way of talking and walking. Thus, his mannerisms too make him look comical. Lastly, we have Rohitash Gour as Mukundilal Sughandilal Gupta of SAB TV’s Lapataganj - Sharad Joshi Ki Kahaniyon Ka Pata (Garima Productions). Rohitash is seen as simple man who believes in completing his work and getting back home, but everyday there is some problem or the other waiting for him. His worries are indeed simple but, they seem too big to him. Thus, it makes one laugh. This is our list of nominees but if you want one of the above mentioned names to win, do vote for them at http://tellyawards.indiantelevision.com/y2k13/poll/login.php.
