MUMBAI: The 12th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is all set to be back soon on small screens.
With every season, the makers have made sure they make it even more interesting and challenging than the previous one.
Rohit Shetty who has been successfully hosting the show for several seasons is once again back as a host and a mentor to the contestants.
The makers have chosen a lot of popular actors from small screens who are all set to show their daredevil avatars.
Furthermore, with a new season, the contestants will be facing a new set of challenges.
Rohit has always been extremely supportive to each contestant and made sure that they do the stunts with lots of dedication and not abort it.
Well, in an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, Rohit had some interesting things to share about the current season.
You have hosted so many seasons of the show. Has the journey been changed for you or remained the same so far?
The journey for me has changed so far. People have always recognized me for my movies and as a director but now, they also know me more because of Khatron Ke Khiladi. They all like Khatron Ke Khiladi. From kids, teenagers, and old aged people, everyone likes to watch this show. They never fail to mention Khatron whenever I have interacted with them. This makes me realize how big the show is. It is really important for me to take this success seriously. We all have worked hard for this season as well, pushed the envelope and tried to bring something new.
How tough does it get to execute the stunts as it all looks extremely well-prepared on-screen?
It is really difficult. The show is not easy to do. It is physically, mentally very tough. Also, Khatron Ke Khiladi is different from the other shows, not just concept wise but also the shooting format is very different. The whole cast and crew work for the show for straight 45 to 50 days. The team works for almost 15 hours a day and we also travel a lot for the stunts from one place to another. Apart from all this, the contestants and the crew who try the stunts suffer injuries. Although they aren't major but still. A lot of preparations goes for designing stunts. Khatron Ke Khiladi is not an easy show to produce, host and to be in. And I feel, that's what makes it unique.
The viewers have seen one contestant who is your favorite and the one on whom all the weird stunts are tried on. Who is your 'Bali Ka Bakra' in this season?
(Laughs) No one is Bali Ka Bakra this season. All contestants are doing great this season. But there are a lot of entertainers in this season. I think Nishant and Rajiv are pure entertainers. Rajiv will definitely entertain the viewers with the way he speaks, his dialogue delivery and his one liners. People are going to love both of them in the show. The viewers will not just love them for their stunts but also for the way they are.
Rubina Dilaik, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Faisal Shaikh, Tushar Kalia, Nishant Bhat, Pratik Sehajpal, Shivangi Joshi, Aneri Vajani, Kanika Mann, Sriti Jha, Rajiv Adatia, and Chetna Pande will be showing off their daredevil avatars.
The show will hit the small screens on 2nd July.
