Disheartening! Popular Telugu comedian Karumanchi Raghu mourns the demise of his father

MUMBAI: Popular Telugu comedian Karumanchi Raghu's father Venkat Rao passed away at 74 years. Venkat Rao was suffering from illness for some time now and breathed his last on Thursday. Born on June 10, 1947, Venkat Rao served the country by working in the Indian Army and is currently staying at home and taking care of his family after retirement.

Many film celebrities and friends have expressed their condolences to Raghu's family, who are grieving over the death of their father Venkat Rao.

Raghu Karumanchi is known for his comic and supporting roles in Telugu movies. He acted in more than 150 films and also appeared in several television shows, including Jabardasth. He made his debut as an actor with the film Aadi starring Jr. NTR and got break as an actor with the film Adhurs. Raghu also led a team called Roller Raghu in the popular TV comedy show Jabardasth on ETV.

He appeared in 1500 TV episodes in 32 titles on various channels. He received an award from Prasar Bharati and UNICEF for producing the best short film on saving the girl child in 2006.

Raghu was last seen in Ashok Galla's debut film Hero, directed by Sriram Adittya. Hero was theatrically released on 15 January 2022. The film received mixed reviews from the critics and audiences as well.
