MUMBAI: Colors TV’s new show Pishachini has created a lot of buzz among the fans. The show is based in the quaint town of Bareilly, where Rani, the Pishachini, has been unleashed. The town is mesmerised by Rani, however, free from her grip and who sees Rani’s true character is Pavitra. The show will feature popular actor Jiya Shankar as Pavitra while Nyrraa M Banerji will play the character of Rani aka ‘Pishachini’ and the show will be bankrolled by Shakuntalam Telefilms Pvt. Ltd.

The show has begun with a promising plot.
We see that the Rajputs prepare for Dahi-handi and Pavitra is focused on looking for a way to expose Pishachini's true avatar. She learns about sprinkling holy water on Rani so as to expose her.
Pavitra then goes to Bindiya who is busy preparing the dahi handi and thus, adds the Holy water in the mix secretly. When the celebrations begins, Rocky mounts the pyramid to reach the top in order to break the handi.
As the Matki breaks, the concoction in the handi falls everywhere and the droplets land on Rani as well. Rani starts transforming in her actual avatar and thus gets exposed. The question is if it is only Pavitra’s imagination or actual reality!
