PVR pictures to release Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist in India on 17 May 2013

PVR Pictures, India’s leading distributor of Hollywood movies, is set to bring internationally renowned director, Mira Nair’s film "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" to India on 17 May 2013. The movie is an adaption of the much famous novel by the same name by Pakistan-based writer Mohsin Hamid. Mira Nair along with Mr. Sanjeev Bijli, Joint MD, PVR Ltd. graced the occasion with their presence at Director’s Cut, PVR Vasantkunj. Mira Nair shared her thoughts behind making of ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ which was shot in multiple countries and also bringing her movie in the month of celebration of 100 years of Indian Cinema. The Reluctant Fundamentalist is a touching and engaging story of a young man chasing corporate success on Wall Street. Post September 2011 tragedy in America, he finds himself embroiled in a conflict between his American Dream, a hostage crisis, and the enduring call of his family's homeland.The film was shot in Lahore, Istanbul, New York, Atlanta, Delhi and stars Riz Ahmed, Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schreiber, Shabana Azmi and Om Puri. On bringing the movie to India, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Joint MD, PVR Ltd, said, “PVR is committed to bring to India an eclectic mix of powerful as well as interesting movies.
