MUMBAI : When Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, hit theatres last year, it was a massive success in Hindi cinema. It exceeded expectations at the box office, and was even trending on Tik Tok and Instagram reels, with Allu Arjun’s signature dance move. The character's peculiarity stood out the most to audiences. Even the songs and item numbers are stuck in the heads of fans all over. Now fans everywhere are waiting frantically for the release of the sequel, Pushpa: The Rule.
Recently there was a development regarding the movie which suggests that Tamannah Bhatia will be playing a role in the film. An entertainment news portal reported that the sequel team are asking her to come on, not just for a steamy item number, but also for one of the lead roles. If the said report is to be believed, then the actress may end up playing the second love interest to the hero, Allu Arjun. We all know that Rashmika Mandanna was the lead heroine of the first movie and will be returning for Pushpa 2 also. If this news is indeed true, it'll be interesting to see how Rashmika and Tamannaah square off Allu Arjun's affection.
One big reason for Pushpa’s immense popularity is because of Samantha Ruth Prabhu's insanely popular and tantalising item number, Oo Antava. So naturally, it is supposed that she'd be returning for the sequel in another item number. There were also reports of Nora Fatehi being cast for the item number. The makers are yet to confirm any of these rumours.
