I want to take up younger and challenging roles - Ashoo Kohli

Ashoo Kohli
Ashoo Kohli who started his career as a casting director from Delhi today harbors high aspirations of doing a swell job as an actor. Equipped with theater experience, Ashoo has been part of more than 1000 print ads. His passion to bring in quality actors to the industry as a casting person triggered in him the thought of turning into an actor. Talking about his journey so far in the industry, Ashoo says, “I have done quite a lot of ads for big banners like the Metlife Insurance, Boost ad with Sachin Tendulkar, Hero Honda, Business Today, Johnson and Johnson, Outlook, Hindustan Times. I started my acting career with Shakuntalam Telefilms, wherein I played the role of Mr. Rai, who stood against Ammaji. Then came Afsar Bitiya for Zee TV wherein I played the character of K.K. Singh, Deputy Collector of Bhagalpur." As of now, Ashoo has two shows in the kitty and is looking for more. "I am presently seen in Colors' Bani Ishq Da Kalma as Amreek's NRI father, Joginder Gill. Also I play father to the negative lead Charu in Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke." Why only fatherly roles? "Well, till now I have been getting such roles (smiles). However, in future I want to sign on to a good and younger role, something like the negative lead." We wish you all the luck, Ashoo!
