MUMBAI: Imlie is one of the most loved and successful shows on television, being among the top 4 shows when it comes to the BARC ratings. The story has taken a significant turn with Aryan and Imlie’s death and Imlie season 2 starting.
We saw a huge leap in the show after which Imlie and Chini are all grown up.
In the latest episode, we saw that Chini gets abducted by Rudra's men and Rudra tricks her. Rudra gives a choice to Chini between marrying Atharva but not being able to get any luxuries and taking a lump sum amount of money. Chini says that she will choose Atharva but Rudra makes sure she understands that he will disown Atharva if she marries him. Chini is left thinking and finally chooses money. Rudra then insults her and compares her to Imlie. Chini starts to feel bad.
Anu takes Chini to a corner and Chini tells her everything. Chini says that everyone thinks she is the bad person but now she will be the worst and not let Aharva and Imlie get married. This makes Anu happy.
Anu goes and instigates the politician’s bodyguards and they go ahead to create a ruckus at the wedding. Atharva gets into a fight with them. They fire gun shots at him but it misses. They later hold him and point a gun at him when Imlie takes the lit wooden logs from the pooja and throws them at him. This makes them angrier and they fire at Imlie and she gets hurt.

Atharva thinks that it is Chini in the wedding dress under the dupatta so screams her name in fear. Everyone is shocked to hear it and right then Imlie’s dupatta blows away and Atharva is shocked to see her. Imlie is left shaken when she hears him scream Chini’s name.
The police arrive and arrest the bodyguards. Everyone is worried about Imlie and Sundar is dressing up her wound. He says that the bullet touched her and passed. Imlie questions Atharva as to why he took Chini’s name and he is left silent.
In the upcoming episode, we will see that Chini comes to Imlie limping and asks her if she is okay. Imlie says that she is fine but what is wrong with Chini’s leg. She says that she was upstairs when the gun was fired at Imlie and she got scared so came rushing down and slipped in the process. Atharva saw her slip that is why took her name. Everyone believes her.
Atharva gets angry and takes Chini to a corner and asks her furiously as to why she isn’t there in the wedding dress. Atharva says that he gave her as much time as she wanted but it is time they tell Imlie the truth as she just put her life on line for him.
Chini agrees and is taking him to tell everyone the truth while saying that after that Imlie will insult her and take her mother’s share. Atharva stops her and asks as to why Imlie would do that.
Chini tells him that they love each other so she went to tell Imlie the truth. Chini lies and tells Atharva that Imlie knows that he loves her and not Imlie. She tells him that Imlie is marrying him because she did not want to let go of the opportunity to get associated with such a rich family. She continues to turn Atharva against Imlie. She goes on to say that Imlie has made her realise that a person is recognized because of his name and family. She tells him that her mother and Imlie’s father were equal partners in Bhaskar Times but now everything is in her hands.
She further tells Atharva that Imlie threatened Chini saying if she married him, Imlie will make sure Chini is thrown out of the house and that she will not give her mother’s share. She will make sure that she completely defames her and her mother’s name.
Atharva still refuses to believe such things about Imlie but Chini tells him that Imlie only values money. Chini says that she can marry him then and there but she cannot tolerate her late mother’s name being dragged through the mud.
When Atharva starts to think about how Imlie saved his life, Anu says that what Chini is saying is the truth. She tells him that Imlie is the one who sent those goons. Anu earlier asked the bodyguards to apologize to Imlie and she later is giving them money for their treatment. When Atharva sees this he is shocked and unable to believe it. He misunderstands the situation and believes what Chini is saying is true.
Imlie later asks Atharva if he really wants to go ahead with this marriage. Atharva says yes and the two get married. We later get to know that it is all Chini’s plan to get the two married but she will have everything in her name slowly.
