Richa Chadda is hot favourite for gangster flicks

Richa Chadda is fast gaining the reputation of being a gangster’s favourite girl. Right from Gangs of Wasseypur, Fukrey to Tamanchay in which wherein she plays a glamorous role of an outlaw gangster girl, the actress has proved to be extremely lucky and has always been the first choice for the roles that are being chalked out in the gangster/thug genre. Says a source, “While most actresses are looking for roles that are glamorous and always show them in good light, Richa is an actress who does not back the herd mentality and is keen on doing roles that push the envelope and require her to leave all inhibitions and focus on her acting. She is being approached for all the lady-gangster roles since very few have managed to find the kind of success she has in the genre”. Not new to the film industry, Richa has worked with Mira Nair in an International short film that includes the likes of Ben Kingsley. The movie will be released in 2013. The actress has also been signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his epic film Ram Leela, a Gujarati version of Romeo & Juliet in which she plays Raseela. The sexy siren is also playing a stellar role in Excel Entertainment’s upcoming film Fukrey in which she plays a female mafia don Bholi Punjaban.
