MUMBAI :Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of Drishyam 2 which is slated to hit the big screens tomorrow (18th Nov). The film is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name which starred Mohanlal in the lead role. In 2015, the first instalment of Drishyam had released and it was a hit at the box office.
2022 has not been a great year for Ajay as his two releases as a lead, Runway 34 and Thank God, failed to make a mark at the box office. However surprisingly, RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi, which had the actor’s cameo, did really well.
So, here’s what some people have to say about Ajay Devgn making a strong comeback at the box office with Drishyam 2.
Parineeti: With just two flops films, you cannot judge Ajay’s star power. He has given many hits in past and we can expect him to bounce back with Drishyam 2.
Akshay: Yes, it is an important film for Ajay as his last few films were flops. Let’s see what the box office collection of Drishyam 2 will be.
Aanchal: Ajay is a good actor and in the first part, everyone loved him. While people might have watched the Malayalam version, they are excited to watch Drishyam 2, and we can expect it to be a hit.
Vivek: The success and failure of Drishyam 2 won’t decide Ajay’s star power. Post-pandemic, many superstars have given flops, and Ajay too will bounce back even if Drishyam 2 doesn’t work.
Anil: Ajay is a star, but he has given two-three flops, so Drishyam 2 needs to work or he has to make a strong comeback with his next.
