No doubt, she has been the talk of the town ever since the trailer itself was released. Her upcoming movie, India Lockdown is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
In an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, actress Shweta Basu Prasad spoke about the movie and her character as well.

Shweta Basu Prasad said that this movie is about documenting the time of the lockdown globally, which everyone will relate to. The period of lockdown has been challenging for many, but very different for various people. For some it was like a blessing in disguise, but for many it was quite a challenging period.
Shweta Basu Prasad on what made her say yes for the movie
Shweta Basu Prasad said that we have come to know about the different problems which were faced by people, but no one knew the challenges that were faced by the sex workers. She will be playing the character of a sex worker in the movie and will portray the challenges that they had to go through because it was the direct pressure on survival.

Shweta Basu Prasad said that she had gone through the red-light area Kamathipura, and met different types of sex workers. She had to learn their way of speaking, and know more about their life so as to understand their character. She also had to learn the way that they carry themselves.
