Ranbir Kapoor ties up with Anurag Basu to co-produce Jagga Jasoos

The other day when we saw Anurag Basu grooving over to Ranbir Kapoor’s tune who was enacting a song of his late grandfather Raj Kapoor on stage, we knew that both had become thick friends. And why not. They have turned partners in business. Yes, they have decided to co-produce Jagga Jasoos in which Ranbir will play a detective. Though Basu is still working on the script, the film is kind of Sherlock Holmes-meets-James Bond-meets-Mission Impossible. It will have everything a typical blockbuster has - music, comedy and some action. As per reports, the film will go on floors in the beginning of 2014. Meanwhile, going by the kind of response he has been getting from the audience at large, Ranbir has emulated A-List stars and has decided to keep a cut in the profits of all his forthcoming films. In other words, the actor will have a stake in the IPR (intellectual property rights).
