MUMBAI : Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 is unstoppable at the box office. The film was released on 18th November 2022, and it’s currently in its third week. The movie did very well at the box office in its first week. On 25th November, Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya was released so it was expected that Drishyam 2’s collection might get affected, but that didn’t happen. In its second week, the Ajay Devgn starrer performed much better than Bhediya.
Now, this week’s release An Action Hero has completely been ignored at the box office on its day one, and Drishyam 2 on its third Friday had an exceptional run. Drishyam 2 on its third Friday collected Rs. 4.45 crore at the box office, taking the to-date total to Rs. 167.93 crores.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer An Action Hero had no takers as the film on its day 1 has collected Rs. 1.31 crore at the box office. The opening day collection is less than his last three releases, Doctor G, Anek, and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. Well, even if there's growth, it looks like An Action Hero might collect around Rs. 5 crores in its first weekend which will be a dismal response.
Talking about Bhediya, the film’s only achievement is that on its eighth day it collected more than Ayushmann Khurrana’s An Action Hero. The film collected around Rs. 2 crores on its second Friday, so far taking the total to Rs. 44 crores. The film took a slow start and showed growth over the weekend, but then on weekdays, it failed to maintain well.
