AUDIENCE PERSPECTIVE! Netizens feel that Akshara was overburdened with everyone’s expectations during her pregnancy; here is what they had to say

MUMBAI : Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the longest-running Indian television shows and people still love it. The audience pours in immense love for the track and the chemistry of AbhiRa aka Abhimanyu and Akshara. The show is in for a lot of drama with the upcoming twists and turns.

According to the latest plot, Akshara tells everyone that doctors have told her that she will face complications in her pregnancy and that Abhimanyu and her can’t become parents. Abhimanyu then tells everyone about Akshara’s accident that caused an internal injury which resulted in her complications.

Before everyone came to know the truth about Akshara’s medical condition, they were behind her to get pregnant. They kept saying how they cannot wait for Akshara to share the “good news”. Even though Akshara wanted the same for herself but after a point, it felt so extra and unnecessary. It felt like a pressure and a burden of expectations on Akshara.

Abhimanyu was aware of her condition all along and felt so bad having to hear about it again and again. Netizens have expressed their views regarding the same. They feel that Akshara was overburdened with everyone's expectations and constantly reminded of their wishes about her pregnancy.

Roshni Agrawal: I understand the families wish for their daughter to have a baby and to feel overjoyed because of it, but there needs to be some boundaries. After a point, it becomes more of a pressure and burden than a moment of joy.

Shreya Rathore: I fail to understand why daughters are always burdened so much about having a child after marriage. I wish people would just let things take its course. Akshara was so burdened by everyone’s expectations and it affected her happiness so much.

Kanika Mishra: Akshara wishes to have a child so much but when other’s happiness and expectations are tied to you, the joy fades away and only the fear of letting them down remains. Akshara faced a similar situation.

Amrita Sahay: Akshara was happy about the decision and was getting ready for the next phase. But when everyone was only waiting for that one news, it felt as if there was so much pressure on Akshara. The family needs to cut her some slack and go with the flow.
