Would you say that you have played characters that lie in the mixed shade? Do you prefer roles that are positive or negative?
I am an actor and I want to explore more. I prefer everything: positive, negative, and comedic as well, because on TV you don’t get many choices. Once you start doing a certain kind of role, you get offered roles in a similar lane. But I would like to play negative roles as well because negative roles give you a lot of shades to play in themselves. I did play a little bit of a grey shade in Meri Durga. It was a very strong character and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would like to do all types of roles to explore more.
You have been part of a lot of shows. How would you describe your journey?
Till now my journey has been great. I am thankful to God for all the opportunities he gave me. It has been a great journey till now, and of course, I have learned a lot on the way, but such is life.
How has your experience been shooting the show Parineetii?
For Parineetii, I knew that I would get to play the role for a long time because it was the role of the heroine's mother. But I did it anyway because I wanted to do something different, and also because I always did this mother’s role who wears a saree, and who remains positive. This character had a Punjabi background, and being a Punjabi Sardarni myself, I wanted to play this role because I knew this role was not going to last for more than two to three months, but later it would run on and off. But I did it to do something different, and Parineeti has been a great journey which I have enjoyed.
