Dadaji's 'dark past' comes to the fore in Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard...

Mukesh Khanna
Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara (Rajshri Productions) has struck a chord with its audience from the very beginning and has managed to climb on the TRP charts to take the number 3 slot across all channels. Post the pulsating track of Kaira (Prinal Oberoi) getting saved from marrying the con man Manan (Raj Singh) with the help of Aditya (Nakuul Mehta) and Pankhuri (Disha Parmar), viewers are witnessing the emotional track wherein Dadaji’s (Mukesh Khanna) dark past is out in the open. The makers are dealing with the sensitive issue of ‘Euthanasia’ wherein it is shown that the reason for Kaira having a hatred towards Dadaji stems out of the fact that she as a child, had seen him allowing the life support system to be removed from his terminally ill wife. This particular behaviour of Dadaji had left a mark on Kaira’s mind who even today believes that Dadaji is the murderer. As per the story line, all the three children of Dadaji know of this dark past, but viewers will get to know in episodes to come that there was indeed a bigger reason behind the man doing this act. Mansi Salvi (Avantika) told us, “We are currently shooting the sequence and don’t know much about it. We had seen our mother suffer, and had accepted our father’s decision to let our mother go by removing the oxygen mask. But if there was another reason, we are currently clueless. The whole family is yet to know about the reality.” We tried contacting Nakuul Mehta and Mukesh Khanna, but could not reach through to them. Watch this space for more updates.
