MUMBAI : Star Plus' popular show 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' began as a passionate love story between a famous rockstar, Rudraksha Khurana, and a gynaecologist, Dr. Preesha Srinivasan, who fall in love while raising their siblings' son, Saaransh together.
The show is currently going through a dramatic tangent. The show has taken a leap of 20 years, and Rudra and Preesha are now dead. The story now focuses on Nayantara and Samrat.
Previously, we saw that Alia expresses her feelings to Ronak, but he rejects her proposal saying that he’s in love with someone else. So Samrat hires an investigator to find out who this woman is as he wants to get rid of her so that his sister can be with Ronak. In a surprising turn of events, the investigator mistakes Nayantara to be Ronak’s girlfriend, as Malti keeps Ishaani’s identity a secret from the world.
Later, Nayantara and Samrat have a heart-to-heart, and he opens up about his past and family, and how he feels lonely inside. He says that his family has simply taken him in and is with him because of his popularity and wealth. Samrat tells her that he doesn’t have anyone who is not with him unconditionally.
Nayantara stops him from speaking about death, and Samrat begins to feel a connection with her. Samrat calls her beautiful.

In the upcoming episode, Samrat still thinks that Nayantara is the girl that Ronak is in love with, and that he chose Nayantara over Aliya to stop the union of Nayantara and Ronak. He plays a trick.
Samrat meets Nayantara, and it’s ‘hate at first sight’, but he sends a marriage proposal to her because he knows that her mother is desperate to get her married. This will be the perfect way to get her out of Ronak’s life!
