MUMBAI :Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most loved actresses in the Bollywood industry; not just for her incredible acting, but also for her beauty. According to reports, she has received a notice claiming that she has unpaid land tax for her property in Nashik. The reports mention that the actress has a property in Adwadi, Nashik, near Thangaon of Sinnar, which has over a year’s worth of unpaid land tax.
Now, the district administration sent the notice out to the actress regarding the case, as even after repeated reminders, the matter was not honoured. A media portal reported that, because of this reason, the actress was sent the notice by the tehsildar of the Sinnar tehsil.
Reports say that the actress owns almost one hectare of land in that area. Reports further say that the amount of the land tax owed by Aishwarya is around Rs. 21,960. The notice says that if the mentioned dues are not paid within 10 days of receipt, appropriate action will be taken against the actress under section 174 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Act, 1966.
Although the notice was issued on 9th January, it has not been confirmed as to whether Aishwarya has received it or even responded to it. The actress is now one of the 1,200 property owners in Sinnar who have defaulted on paying their taxes.
