MUMBAI :Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer Pathaan is all set to hit the big screens on 25th January 2023. While reportedly the film has got a great advance booking overseas, it looks like the film might take a flying start in India at the box office. The advance bookings in India will start tomorrow, however advance booking in a few cities and a few theatres has already started and the reports are very positive.
According to reports, the theatres that have opened advance bookings are filling fast, and some shows are already full. Well, the movie marks the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan after a gap of four years, and his fans are excited to watch him on the big screen.
Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest opener till date has been the 2014 release Happy New Year. The film had a bumper opening of Rs. 44.97 crore at the box office. Now, it will be interesting to see whether Pathaan will be able to beat the opening day collection of Happy New Year or not.
If we talk about Bollywood films, the biggest opener till date is War with the first day collection of Rs. 53.35 crore. While everyone is expecting a bumper opening at the box office for Pathaan, let’s see what will be the first day collection.
Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom might guarantee a good opening, but to work in the long run, Pathaan’s content has to be good. We have seen in the past couple of years that more than the stardom of the actor, it is content and entertainment that is attracting the audiences to theatres.
