1. Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

You can ditch popular tourist spots and opt to visit Tawang instead and experience the beauty of taking a detour from the normal. Surrounded by greenery and dotted with beautiful lakes, this place will not disappoint you for sure. Located in Arunachal Pradesh, this beautiful destination in the North East India will welcome you with its natural wonders for sure.

2. Mandu, Madhya Pradesh

A visit to this place will transport you back in time. With timeless monumental beauties, grand palaces, and intricately designed gateways stand witness to Mandu’s rich and long history. Located around 180 km from Agartala, Unakoti is dotted with almost one crore carved figures that date back to the 7th century here. It’s one of the most underrated places in Northeast India that you should include in your travel wishlist. Unakoti has now managed to make it to the UNESCO Tentative List of Heritage Sites, and makes for an ideal place for trekking, hiking, and more.

5. Kaas Plateau, Satara

Also known as Kaas Pathar, it’s a volcanic plateau located in Maharashtra, which has started to gain prominence in the tourism radar. Plan a visit to this place, sans the crowd, and only to be surrounded by its lush greenery and blooming flowers. It is a feast for eyes, and was declared a bio-diversity site by UNESCO in June 2012.

6. Lambasingi, Andhra Pradesh

Featuring breathtakingly beautiful landscape, Lambasingi is also fondly known as the Kashmir of South India. It also makes for a great place to visit, and a great escape for heat, as temperature here can range between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius. If you are seeking for a quick escape and that too amid nature, this place with its impeccable natural beauty will instantly have your heart!
