MUMBAI : These days, Indian cinema is progressing a lot and it is moving past just the Bollywood industry. A lot of movies from the South have been grabbing people’s attention and have even been catching eyes internationally. Bollywood actors are also trying their best to reach out to a larger audience and aren’t afraid of working in various regional language movies.

Now one of the most well-known and versatile actors in Bollywood - Sanjay Dutt is also ready to make his debut in the Tamil film 'Thalapathy 67' opposite Vijay. The makers of the movie took to Twitter to announce his entry into the film. Seven Screen Studio tweeted an image of Dutt and welcomed the superstar with a respectful message.

They wrote, “We feel esteemed to welcome @duttsanjay sir to Tamil Cinema and we are happy to announce that he is a part of #Thalapathy67.” The image also had Dutt’s quote where he said that after listening to the one liner concept of the movie, he knew that he had to be a part of it.

Sanjay Dutt has made a name for himself in many other industries apart from the Bollywood industry. He has made a name for himself in Sandalwood, (the Kannada film industry) with movies like 'KGF: Chapter 2' and 'KD - The Devil'. Fans are now anticipating his look and role for his debut in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial.

The 63-year-old actor had once revealed his thoughts about working in the South industry during the launch of the title teaser of 'KD - The Devil'. He shared, “I wish the team all the best. I also feel that I am going to work more in south Indian films. I know one thing that I have done KGF and SS Rajamouli sir is a dear friend. I see so much passion, love, energy, and heroism in the films made in the South. I think we need to learn that back in Mumbai. Bollywood must not forget its roots.”
