MUMBAI :One of the most popular actresses in the South is definitely Nayanthara, who has showcased her talent in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films alike. She has made a name for herself in the South industry with her acting and good looks. Recently in an interview, she opened up about the fact that even she had faced casting couch in her initial days, and said that she was offered an important role in exchange of ‘favours’.
In conversation with a well-known media portal, Nayanthara revealed that she was asked for some favours, and in return they would give her a role. She shared that she 'boldly' turned down the offer and that she had faith in her talent and believed in her acting skills. Many other well-known South actresses have spoken up about facing casting couch before Nayanthara, including actress Anushka Shetty.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nayanthara has many big-budget films lined up. She is getting ready to make her highly-anticipated Bollywood debut in the film ‘Jawan’ which will star superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Other than this, she will also essay a role in the Tamil film ‘Iraivan’, and two other untitled movies that are tentatively titled ‘Lady Superstar 75’ and ‘NT-81’ under way.
