Exclusive! Asur 2 actor Barun Sobti says, “The point is to do good work and that’s my intention”

MUMBAI:Barun Sobti had back-to-back releases this year with Asur 2 and Badtameez Dil, and both the shows have received a good response from the audiences. The actor’s performance in both the OTT series is being loved by one and all.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Barun and spoke to him about keeping low-key, upcoming projects and more...

You have been in the industry for the past many years. So, now when a script comes to you what are the parameters you looked forward to before saying a ‘yes’?

I have simplified it; I haven’t made it very complex. Whatever you read, and you immediately like it, so you know that you have an interest in it. So, it’s like, I read it and I like it, and then I do it.

We don’t see you much at events and parties, you don’t get spotted, and of course, your fans miss you. Why do you keep so low-key?

My thing is that I have to do good work. What gratification people will get to see dressed and posing? The point is to do good work and that’s my intention. There are so many people who like what I do, and I can’t take that lightly. So, for me the responsibility doesn’t end at dressing up and going to a party. The responsibility lies in the fact that I should be dependable. If I have a small part also in some project people should have the guarantee that Barun has done it so there will be something good in it.

Tell us something about your upcoming projects.

There’s a show called Kohra on Netflix, I have two shows that I have finished with applause entertainment; one is a period drama and another one is an upcoming-of-age drama.
