Mahesh Manjrekar to make his debut in a Hindi serial

Mahesh who is remembered for his dancing skills in Jhalak Dikhla Ja and his current stint as a judge on a reality show will now woo small screen viewers with his acting. Though the director cum actor has acted in Marathi serials he has not yet been seen in a Hindi serial. Mahesh makes his debut with a serial titled Monica Mogre on Zee Next. It has been heard that the show has a unique script which is different from the current shows. A source informs, “The story is based on a lady cop. It is a tri-weekly and the time slot is not yet finalised. It is set to go on air from September but the exact date is undecided.” Monica Mogre is produced by Yash Patnaik’s Beyond Dreams . The source further informed, “Mahesh Manjrekar will be acting in it. The show is based on a lady cop and Parakh Madan will be playing the lead role. Parakh was last seen in Saathi Re on Star One. Abhijeet, son of Shivaji Satam will be paired opposite Parakh.” When approached Yash Patnaik, Chairman and CEO of Beyond Dreams, he said, “I can’t reveal anything about this show till the channel announces it.” Mahesh Manjrekar was unavailable for comments. Parakh Madan said, “I am not ready to talk about it as it is too early.”
