MUMBAI: This year, Rakul Reet Singh was seen in movies like Chhatriwali, Boo, and I Love You. All three films were released on OTT, and the actress’ performance in them was appreciated.
Now, Rakul has three big films lined up, Ayalan, Meri Patni Ka Remake, and Indian 2. TellyChakkar recently interacted with Rakul and spoke to her about her upcoming movies.
When asked about an update on her upcoming movies, Rakul said, “Updates are that they will come out as and when they are ready. I have a film in Hindi that will be released this year, then there’s a Tamil film called Ayalaan which will be released this Diwali, and others are under production.”
When asked about Indian 2, she said, “It will not release this year; that will release mostly next year.”
Indian 2 is one of the most awaited Tamil films. The movie, which is directed by Shankar, is a sequel to 1996 release Indian. The movie had started rolling in 2019 and till now, it is still in the production.
Apart from Kamal Haasan and Rakul Preet Singh, Indian 2 also stars S. J. Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, and Siddharth. The first instalment starred Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as the female leads. But, we won’t get to see them in the sequel.
