MUMBAI :Sony Sab’s 'Dhruv Tara' is a romantic drama that revolves around Dhruv and Tara, who are from two different eras. Tara, a princess from the 17th century, travels through time and arrives in the present day, where she meets Dhruv.
At the onset, the show unveils 17th century Princess Tarapriya (played by Riya Sharma) who is a secret Vaidya, her brother Prince Mahaveer (Krishna Bharadwaj), and their father, King Udaybhaan (Yash Tonk). Meanwhile, in the present day, Dhruv (played by Ishaan Dhawan) is seen in Agra near the Taj Mahal when an unidentified dupatta from the 17th century lands on him. The week also showcases how Tara’s mother Rani Kanupriya (played by Narayani Shashtri) advises Tara to travel into the 21st century to find a cure for her brother’s illness.

Previously, Mahaveer asks Dhruv and Tara if they want to marry each other and they both say yes. However, Dhruv and Tara face new challenges that cast a shadow over their marriage plans.
Shockingly, Senapati catches Dhruv and Tara together and gets furious. He plans to harm Dhruv but Tara comes in the way, threatening Senapati that in whichever way he harms Dhruv, Tara will harm herself too and cuts her hand.
Later, Dhruv inflicts harm upon Senapati and emphatically shows that Tara belongs to him, stating that nobody can separate them.
Further, Senapati Samrat kidnaps Dhruv's father and locks him. Mahaveer tries to search for him but he stumbles upon a secret sandook where Senapati has kept Dhruv's father.
Shockingly, when Maharaj sees Dhruv and Tara together, he realises about their love and decides to give mrityu dand to Dhruv. On the other hand, Mahaveer gets Dhruv’s father out of the chamber and keeps it in one place, but Senapati interrupts and blackmails Mahaveer, leaving the latter with only one option that is to kill Dhruv if he wants to save his sister, Tara. Therefore, in order to save Tara, Mahaveer kills Dhruv with his sword. Tara feels shocked to see that her brother killed Dhruv. She shouts at Mahaveer and tells him she is no longer his sister. Maharaj wants Tara to get married to Senapati, and she agrees.
Shockingly, during Tara and Senapati’s haldi ceremony, the haldi on Senapati’s face turns red. Maharani accuses him of killing someone. Meanwhile, when Senapati goes to check on Dhruv, he realises that Dhruv is alive.
Now, Senapati feels the presence of Dhruv around him. Tara is confused listening to their conversation. Tara realises that Dhruv is not dead. Mahaveer comes and tells her the truth and how he saved Dhruv. Tara plots a plan but a Dasi goes and informs everything to Senapati.
