MUMBAI: Zee TV's popular show Kumkum Bhagya is currently one of the longest running shows on television.The show has frequently managed to gain the top position from the time of its inception, all thanks to the outstanding cast and gripping storyline. Fans are in awe of the chemistry between the lead couple Prachi and Ranbir played by Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul respectively. Tina Ann Philip aka Rhea plays a gray character. The current track is about Prachi and Akshay’s marriage.
Currently, Ranbir saves Prachi from the deadly goons and returns home with her, Mihika, and Akshay. Akshay gets to know that the lady in the shopping mall aka Pallavi, is Ranbir's mother.

Thus, he brings her to the Tandon Family, only to know the relationship Ranbir and Prachi as he started to doubt them.
So, when Ranbir refuses to marry Mihika because there is nothing between them, Akshay uses Pallavi against Ranbir and Prachi as soon as he finds out that they are ex-husband and wife.
Pallavi is furious at Prachi for leaving Ranbir and marrying someone else, which even made Ranbir leave his own family. So, she compels Prachi to sacrifice her love and get Ranbir married to Mihika.
