MUMBAI: Mohit Malik is an extremely talented and versatile actor. He has smitten the audience with his charm and deft of talent. Currently seen in ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si’ on Star Plus opposite Sayli Salunkhe, Mohit opened up on his experience shooting for the show so far and his bond with his co-actors.
Mohit exclusively shared, “Working with Rajan ji (Shahi) is great. He respects humanity and knows how to treat people right. I really look upto him because of the way he treats his production house and his people. The entire team is extremely good and it should be this way as the set is an actor’s second home. The cast is also very nice. I look forward to going to work everyday. It is also hectic to shoot seven days a week but the production house is very considerate and gives me a leave as and when I need it.”
When asked about the X factor about his character that he likes the most and the one thing he would like to change about his character, Mohit said, “Kunal is someone who is assertive. He does not beat around the bush and is not a people pleaser. I love that quality in him and want to imbibe it. What I would like to change in him is that Kunal has shut himself from the world. There is a wall and it doesn't let anyone seep into it. He fears connection. All these things come from his past. So he needs to open up and trust people.”
Shedding light on dealing with creative differences, Mohit averred, “The team is lovely and there are not many differences. I have a discussion with the creatives and it is never an argument. We work amicably. Even if it happens, I am not someone who will resist. I would like to state that just like actors, writers work round the clock and there are times that even they face a block. One cannot be active and creative 365 days a year. So as actors we should cooperate and execute the brief with conviction.”

Finally, speaking about the bond with co-actors, Mohit said, “I share an excellent bond with everyone. It is one of the best casts I am working with. There are no ego issues and none of them have a guard. That is the reason we can work creatively. We eat lunch together and share food too. Sayli is the closest person on the sets. She is hardworking and fantastic as an actor but more than that, she is a wonderful human being. We give each other space and help each other perform better.”
