MUMBAI: Hero, the first movie of Sooraj Pancholi starred alongside Athiya Shetty and became a big hit. Sooraj, the son of the actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, garnered attention for his good features and body. After that, he started appearing in mediocre blockbusters like Satellite Shankar and Time To Dance.
Unfortunately, despite his numerous efforts in the film industry, Sooraj has regularly made headlines owing to his personal life. For the uninitiated, Sooraj was detained in 2013 on suspicion of abetment of his ex-girlfriend, actress Jiah Khan, in committing suicide. Sooraj was cleared of guilt and given a clean chit in April 2023 following a protracted legal battle that lasted several years due to a lack of proof.
Sooraj Pancholi recently shared some candid statements regarding his father Aditya Pancholi and his stormy past. According to Sooraj, his father has made numerous questionable decisions during his life, giving him the reputation of being a horrible man. But with time, he has come to forgive him since he realizes how much his father depends on him.
He said, “My father has a certain image as this bad boy person, who has done many things wrong. I don't agree with it, of course, he has done things wrong. He is my father, I love him no matter what baap ek hi hota hai. I don't agree with the way he has handled things in his life but in a way I have forgiven him because I know I am his only support in life. I want to make him proud.”
Sooraj disclosed that his father's most difficult time in life occurred when he was a young child and as a result, he neither knew nor understood everything that happened. However, Sooraj claimed that he only became aware of the numerous past scandals that his father, Aditya Pancholi, became involved in after he made his cinematic debut.
He stated, “At that time, mujhe pata bhi nahi tha ki kya ho raha hai. Maine yeh sab realise kiya industry mai aane ke baad jab main logo se mila, jab maine news padhna shuru kiya. When I met people, hen I understood ki okay, these are the things that have happened. It, of course, hurt me a lot but like I said I love my father.”
When asked if he had ever confronted his father, Aditya Pancholi, about his wrongdoings in life, Sooraj replied that he had not. The former responded thoughtfully and explained that throughout the years, he had been able to tell that his father had realized and accepted his faults by only having to look into his eyes. As a result, the conversation between the father and son has not been official.
On September 3, 2023, Sooraj Pancholi stated in an interview that he had discovered a new love seven years after the passing of his ex-girlfriend Jiah Khan. Sooraj referred to his new relationship as the most beautiful thing in his life and said it felt good to take care of his special someone while having them do the same for him.
