MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut is one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry. Her last few releases have failed to make a mark at the box office, but now, in the second half of 2023 the actress is all set to back with a bang. While Professionally she is basking in the glory of her last release Chandramukhi 2. Kangana is always in the news for her opinions and her recent statement calling Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker ‘B Grade’ actors sparked a lot of controversy.

Kangana however stood by her words and clarified, “Taapsee said that Kangana needs a double filter. She struggled from 2012-13, and finally, when she achieved success in 2016, at that time, she said, ‘Kangana needs a double filter.’ That is when my sister said that it is not right on the part of these actresses, who copy Kangana and do films that Kangana has rejected, to talk about someone like this, especially jab aap unse hi inspire ho kar apna career chala rahe hain.”
Kangana further said, “She (Taapsee) is older than me, and still if she is inspired by me and considers me her role model, then using such ‘abhadra’ (unpleasant) words is quite extreme. That is why my sister said what she said.”
Speaking of Swara who she has previously worked with in Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana said, “During the shoot, she would walk holding my hands. I remember I styled her hair for her introduction scene. Then suddenly she had a problem with me. People who become quite liberal and tolerant, don’t like the views of anyone else. Maybe that’s what happened with her.”
On the work front, Kangana will be seen in Tejas which releases today and she also has Emergency slated to hit the big screens on 24 November 2023.
