And being an avid social media user, she keeps updating her fans with stunning glimpses from her life. Now, as she got engaged to the love of her life, Varun Sharma, she shared an array of glimpses from the latter's proposal arrangement and more.

Taking to her IG handle, on November 16, 2023, Neha Parulkar shared a series of pictures with her fiance, Varun Sharma as the latter organised a lovely proposal moment for her. In the priceless pictures, Neha looked gorgeous in a sequined dress with a plunging neckline and full sleeves.

On the other hand, Neha's fiance looked handsome in a white shirt paired with a pink coat and denim pants. Sharing the pictures, she penned her love story with Varun, that can be read as:

"Once upon a time, there were two individuals who went through their respective heartbreaks, some questionable 'almosts', and a lot of self doubt. But then, in a twist of fate, a witty banter sparked a flame! Fast forward through sarcasm-filled conversations and countless laughs, and now we're turning our love story into a forever adventure. Glad I found my lobster! @the_humble_gentleman."

Further, Neha shared an array of moments from the surprise she got from Varun and looked simply blissful while enjoying her time. As per the photos, it seems that initially, she was blindfolded and taken to this place, where Varun kneeled down and popped the million-dollar question to her.

To which, she immediately said 'Yes' and was seen flaunting her ring. She was also seen indulging in a lip-lock moment with Varun. However, she hid the same with her hand while showing off her ring. In addition, she ended her long caption as:

"Preparing for a lifetime of baby-babu, sweet nothings, anime marathons, and questionable dance moves! Found the one who can handle my crazy! Actually, 'The One' found me, who not only tolerated my quirks but embraced them wholeheartedly. Yayy! #Blessed #IamGettingMarried #Love #wedding."

Earlier, in an interview with the Femina, the plus-size model had shared her dual struggle as a kid - one with her weight and the other one with the constant body-shaming and negativity around her.

She called herself 'a troubled child who is a confident model today', and narrated how those things impacted her childhood. Thus, she gradually found the path of self-acceptance and shared:

“I stopped eating everything that kids usually love. I was fat-shamed, and it changed me as a person. A happy-go-lucky kid turned into a sad, grumpy one. I was hurt and demotivated, but gradually learned to stand up for myself. I wanted to be a person who was in love with herself. The stereotypes don’t end. It’s assumed that if a person is overweight, they must have a disease, or eats all day. For clothing, it’s assumed that plus-size women can’t wear shorts, swimsuits, or body-hugging clothes. We are made to believe that certain kinds of fashion are not for us."

Neha had also walked the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) for three long years for designers such as Wendell Rodricks and Narendra Kumar, and keeps working harder.

However, in the same conversation, she revealed facing brutal discrimination in the fashion industry, unlike in the international markets. But she still hopes that a change will come in the next decade as people have started accepting themselves more than before. She added:

“In India, brands don’t approach us for any other content other than fashion. LFW doesn’t pay plus-size models because they think they are giving us an opportunity to be seen. On the same ramp, a regular model may make a lakh, but we are not considered equal professionals. They are not as discouraging as before, but they aren’t supportive enough to say ‘do what you really want to’. We are far from achieving the kind of inclusivity we see abroad, but in the next 10 years, I see a revolution happening since this generation is more accepting. If you can’t be inclusive, don’t shut us out. If you can’t be supportive, don’t put us down.”

Congratulations to Neha and Varun!
