The good-looking and talented Ankita Bhargava feels that she is just not the lady to weep for a man onscreen.
Talking about it, Ankita told Tellychakkar.com, “The rona-dhona scenes never suit me. I feel I have a face cut that emphasizes my boldness and strength. I cannot cry and weep for a man.”
The girl who started her career with Balaji Telefilms in 2007 is of the opinion that television today is different. “There is a vast difference with the way actors perform today. Earlier, it was the camera that used to perform; now it is the actor who performs with the camera held straight.”
On her present favourite shows on television, the girl stated, “I like watching Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and Ek Veer Ki Ardaas – Veera. They are simply different. I like the way Sudhir Sharma (Producer of Na Bole) goes about his work. His class comes across in his shows. I would love to be part of Na Bole anytime, and I have conveyed it to Sudhir too.”
Ankita who has an inclination to write has begun penning her thoughts. “When I get to see and hear about the rapes and natural calamities happening in our country, I feel the need to pen down my thoughts. I write about the subjects that I read everyday.”
Ankita who was part of Utkarsha Naik’s play ‘Do Fool Chaar Maali’ is excited about the response they got in Dubai. “The play was a huge success in Dubai when we performed in April. The play will now have three screenings in October (2013) at UAE.”
On the kind of roles that she will want to essay in future, the actress averred, “I had been busy shooting for ads. Now I plan to get back to TV. Recently, I did few episodics for Crime Patrol and Fear Files. I would love to be part of an action-oriented show for a change. I simply love watching shows like Grey’s Anatomy, and I would want to essay a character similar to that of Meredith Grey.”
Ankita, we wish you a bright future.
