MUMBAI: Shark Tank India is one of the most loved reality shows on Indian television. After two successful seasons, the third season is here and Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal is the newest Shark to join the panel of sharks. Viewers are now saying that Goyal reminds them of former shark Ashneer Grover.
IN one of the pitches, Goyal tells a founder that he needs attention to detail. He tells him, “Why does the phone number you have mentioned have nine digits instead of ten? Attention to detail man? In ‘India’s Most,’ why is the ‘M’ capital? You are putting grammar in the AI model?”
He further said, “This is your showcase, you are coming on TV. You don’t love your brand enough? Show some love and respect to your customers. If there is a typo in a CV, in less than two seconds it is swiped left. Why did you get more than two seconds? It is because you are on national television.”
One netizen commented on the video, “A breath of fresh air in a dying show without Piyush & Ashneer.”, another wrote, “shneer has said he learnt business from Deepinder. Now, we can see for ourselves what effect he has had on Ashneer.”
Apart from Deepinder Goyal, the other sharks this season include Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta and Riteish Agarwal among others.
