MUMBAI: Actress Shilpa Shetty, known for her impactful performance as Tara Shetty in Rohit Shetty's 'Indian Police Force,' is basking in the praise from fans and co-stars. The 1997 films 'Auzaar' and 'Zameer,' in which she starred alongside Sanjay Kapoor, are now in the spotlight as Sanjay Kapoor himself suggests re-shooting them after witnessing Shilpa's stellar performance.

Overflowing with gratitude, Shilpa shared, "I feel so filled with gratitude for people messaging me… My actor friends. Madhavan.. Sanjay Kapoor just messaged me, he said you are fantastic, we should re-shoot 'Auzaar' and 'Zameer.' I said 'no'..." She laughed off the proposal but acknowledged the humbling impact of compliments from co-actors.

"When you get compliments from co-actors, it makes me feel very humbled, especially women. Women have seen the role as another leap, and they feel I have represented them, and they have a feeling of pride, which is amazing," Shilpa expressed.

Playing the role of Tara Shetty, Gujarat ATS Chief, Shilpa Shetty collaborated with Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi to thwart a terrorist attack. The portrayal has resonated strongly with audiences, particularly women, who see it as a representation of strength and empowerment.

"To evoke that feeling, I have the opportunity to play two really strong and empowering women with Sukhi and Tara, so I feel so grateful that it has been such a fantastic year," Shilpa added.

Addressing the question of whether she shares the same headstrong and fierce qualities as her character, Shilpa responded affirmatively, stating, "Of course, apart from that also, we are really brave as people, and we share the same surname. I think that's a great quality to have — to be brave, to be able to fight your own battles and not give up."

Despite her debut in the digital series realm with 'Indian Police Force,' Shilpa approached her role with honesty, emphasizing that her craft remains unchanged, be it for OTT, TV, or the big screen. The camaraderie with director Rohit Shetty and co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi was professional, with discussions focused on delivering impactful scenes.

As praise continues to pour in for Shilpa Shetty's portrayal, the actress remains grounded, emphasizing the importance of honesty in her craft. Sanjay Kapoor's suggestion to re-shoot past films serves as a testament to the lasting impact of her recent performance.
