Waves Cinemas to distribute D-Day in India

Generally, before any film releases, the name of the India distributor is first announced and then the name of the overseas distributor. So, when the other day, the makers of D-Day, DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment announced that YRF would handle the overseas distribution of the film, people got a little curious as to why the name of the India distributor was not announced. Now, comes the news that Nikhil Advani’s upcoming action thriller scheduled to release on 19 July (2013) will be distributed by Waves Cinemas in India. The house is not new to distribution. Waves Inc. got into the film distribution business about three years ago, and in a short span of time has distributed some of the most successful films of recent years like Ready, Kahaani and Oh My God among others. Said Shabnam Kapoor, Director, Waves Cinemas, "We at Waves have always believed in good cinema and our belief in good and hi-concept content is further reinstated in our association with the film D-Day. We hope that it carries forward the respect quotient of our company." D-Day, the high octane action thriller features Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, Arjun Rampal, Huma Quershi and Shruti Haasan amongst others.
