MUMBAI: Karan Johar’s patriotic film Ae Watan Mere Watan has been in the news for a while now. The film stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead and will revolve around an underground radio station led by a courageous young woman who changed the history of India’s freedom struggle in 1942. The character played by Sara is inspired by freedom fighter Usha Mehta.
Ae Watan Mere Watan will stream on Amazon Prime Video on March 21st and is directed by Kannan Iyer of Ek Thi Dayan fame and is written by Notebook famed Darab Farooqui. Apart from Sara Ali Khan, the film also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Neil, and Anand Towari. The film will also have a cameo by Emraan Hashmi.
Ae Watan Mere Watan is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra.
