Where he spoke about how the idea began and revealed if he was nervous before pitching to the Sharks and how he planned to take the company ahead.

How did the idea to start your company begin?

This was something we discovered during the journey connected to our childhood. My co - founder Jigal Mehtha and his family used to be connected to the cosmetic business. We first met in 2008 when we did our masters together, then in 2016 we spoke about how eating healthy was very difficult, no one wanted to make lifestyle changes and what could be the solution, then we realised that Salt and Sugar were the two evils in eating. Then we thought about Honey being a sugar alternative, then we spoke to 3000 people who used honey and the reason to do that was to understand the issue and then we thought about the challenges that could come through.

The first challenge was that honey is very messy as in when you choose then you have to clean and that's a very common thing, the second was no one knows the purity and the third one was possibility as a lot of them wanted to use a sugar alternative.  So we thought of something so simple which is so powerful and unique we will place our bets on and the three thousand people who we spoke to was our motivation.

Since the Sharks have decided to invest in you, what are your plans to invest in the market?

We broadly operate in two large segments, one is retail and online digitals and second one is where we work with the airlines, hotels, cafes etc and the whole B2B segments and now this is what we have planned how to go forward and the Sharks also suggested that increased adoption through B2B. We can sample easily and the availability to have trials will be a big part of our marketing strategy.

Were you nervous whether the Sharks would accept your proposal?

Absolutely we were nervous and I anyone knows me they know how good I am on marketing and on Shark Tank I froze, I was nervous and second ws fear as we saw some of the recent seasons we were scared we don't want to become a laughing stalk and we knew that Aman didn't like honey and for us it was playing in our mind we remember in season 1 or 2 he had rejected the honey proposal because he didn't like it. But we had a game plan. One of the uniqueness is our fusion, which is people who don't like home. We added lemon in it and we had an idea how to talk to the Sharks but the fear was there that it could completely fall back on us.

Well, there is no doubt that Honey Twigs presented the product well and hence the Sharks agreed to invest in it.
