MUMBAI : Vidya Balan-Pratik Gandhi's 'Do Aur Do Pyaar' shows it is normal to feel differently after marriage, even if it means your marriage comes to a standstill. The movie shows the complexities of modern day relationships.
During an exclusive interaction with Telly Chakkar, in a segment conducted named ‘What The First’, Vidya who plays Kavya in the film and Pratik who essays Ani in the movie revealed details related to the first paycheque that she got which was Rs 1200. "It was for my first television show. It was my monthly pay", she revealed. Pratik on the other hand quipped, "My first paycheque was Rs 1500. I was doing a job in Surat after my Diploma in Engineering.
The actress further spoke about her first audition. She revealed, "My first audition was for my first TV show 'La Bella's'. I remember we had to send in biodatas and I think 900 people had applied and based on the biodatas 150 of us got invited for the audition, 150 of us auditioned and 30 of us got selected. Pratik- My first audition, I got rejected outright for TV".
'Do Aur Do Pyaar 'is a genuine take on love. When Vidya was asked on her first date further she said, "My first date was at Juhu Beach at the age of 16. I didn't know it was a date. I think the other person knew it was a date. I just thought we were going for a walk".
Pratik on the other hand mentioned, "My first date was at a coffee shop". The actress further was asked on her first red carpet moment, about which she said, "It was for my Bengali film ‘Bhalo Theko’ in 2003. Pratik said, "My first red carpet was at one of the premieres of a Gujarati film in Ahmedabad in 2015".
The film of Vidya and Pratik ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ dealt with the complexities of love. When asked about when the diva got her first proposal she said, "When I was 19, I hosted a show at a cultural centre in Chembur and a member of the audience thought I would make a perfect bahu, so came up with a proposal".
Pratik on the other hand quipped, "I did not know whether it was a proposal for me or was it set up for both of us. I went to see a girl in a typical arranged marriage meeting and then we all came home and we laughed".
