Shakti Arora, Salman Khan

He got his limelight with the role of Jigar Thakkar in 2009, with the television show Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Shakti has now expressed an interest in working on the OTT platform but had his reservation on doing bold scenes. He said, “I feel I’m Salman Khan as far as doing intimate scenes are concerned. I don’t like kissing on-screen, I’ve never done it. Nor do I like doing intimate scenes on-screen. I feel Indians look pathetic doing intimate scenes. While watching such scenes it feels as if they are letching. But when I see firangs doing the same scenes, it doesn’t get awkward. When the Indian actors do it on OTT I don’t like watching OTT shows because of this reason it feels very gross.”

On OTT platforms having censorship in place, Shakti revealed, “I am happy that there is censorship happening on OTT also. There should be a guideline because we belong to Indian culture, civilization and we should not do these things. We should represent our Indian culture and show people what we represent. If the West is doing it, we should let them do it as it is their culture. But here also bold subjects are being sold in the name of modernization and people enjoy watching them. Personally, I don’t like it and endorse it.”

Speaking further of love making scenes in future, Shakti said, “I am not open to doing it and I don’t like it. But never say never if tomorrow I don’t have work and I’m offered a huge amount (laughs) I might do it. But frankly speaking I don’t want to do it and I’ll try my best to not do such scenes on-screen.”

Shakti entered Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin after the leap and was afraid that he might be able to win the hearts of the fans of the show, however the actor managed to capture their hearts and fit perfectly into the storyline.
