As his father Salim Khan questioned him about what he would do with the huge mansion, Salman Khan rejected an offer to buy Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat bungalow. The Sikandar actor was asked in an old video that has made a comeback online what one thing he would like to get from Shah Rukh Khan, and he replied right away—his bungalow.
Later in the video he reveals,” I was offered to by the bungalow before Shah Rukh Khan, but my father told me ‘Itne bade Ghar ka kya karoge’, to which he said that I will ask the same question to Shah Rukh Khan”.
There was a time when Shah Rukh Khan didn’t have money for lavish interior designing and that’s how Gauri Khan took up designing and did the exquisite interior design of her home. "Of course, we called one designer. The lunch that he served us was telling us how he’d design this house… was way more than the salary I used to earn in a month. So we thought now that we’ve bought it, how do we do this house? Then I said, ‘See Gauri, you have the artistic talent, why don’t you become the designer of the house?’ Mannat started like that. The money that we earned over the years, we kept on buying small things. Once we had little money and we bought leather fur sofa and all the small things we used to buy".
The Jawan actor has discussed the significance of his home Mannat in numerous interviews. He has previously stated that his home is a symbol of his love for his family and that he would never want to separate his children from each other and instead want them to live together in the same house for the rest of their lives. Mannat is indeed wealthy.
