Marathi actor Kshitij Zarapkar passed away due to a heart attack at 54 after battling cancer

Yesterday at 3:30 PM, following a last darshan at his home in Shivaji Park, Dadar, he was cremated. The well-known news outlet claimed that the actor had died from a heart attack and multiple organ disorders. Zarapkar had also been receiving cancer treatment for the previous few days.

MUMBAI : Kshitij Zarapkar, a well-known actor in the Marathi film industry, tragically died at the age of 54 on May 5, 2024. Even though he was battling cancer for a few months, a heart attack ultimately proved to be the cause of his death in Mumbai.

The well-known news outlet claimed that the actor had died from a heart attack and multiple organ disorders. Zarapkar had also been receiving cancer treatment for the previous few days.

Kshitij Zarapkar was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai, around 10 AM, on

May 5. Later on in the day, he went through a multiple organ failure. Zarapkar

breathed his last between 1.30 PM and 2 PM, later in the day. His remains were taken

to the Dadar Shivaji Park in lieu of performing his last rites. The last rites were

performed at 3.30 PM, at the Dadar Shamshan Ghat.

The actor has appeared in several Marathi films, including Baalgandharva, Ideachi Kalpana, Ekulati Ek, Gola Berij, Marmabandh, Baykocha Nakalatch. In addition to acting, he was a writer and director. The Marathi industry fraternity was shocked to hear of his demise.

Actress Archana Neverekar wrote, "Why did you rush so much Kshitij Zarapkar, how many years of acquaintance and friendship ..from working with him to directing my film...I felt bad when Supriya called me. Numb...if you were smart ..I am out our last meeting will not happen ...what can we say man ..may God give strength to your family ..how can life end like this ...❤️🙏 Om Shanti."

Recently, the actor was involved in Charcha Tar Honarach, a television serial.
