MUMBAI: Telugu star Vishnu Manchu's anticipated movie 'Kannapa' is garnering a lot of love from moviegoers. There have been rumours doing roundabouts on social media that Prabhas and Jr NTR may be playing pivotal roles in the movie which is being directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh who is known for his Maha Bharatham series. The film has a huge cast and as per a Ness 18 report, Mohanlal and Nayanthara will also be playing important roles in the movie.

If the reports are to be believed, the Jawan actress will be essaying the role of Mata Parvati next to Prabhas who will be playing the role of Lord Shiva. Fans are excited as Mohanlal will reportedly make a cameo appearance. The details related to his role are hush-hush so that the excitement and mystery around the same is kept.

It is interesting to note that Kriti Sanon's sister Nupur Sanon was rumoured to be the female lead in Kannappa. She was also seen at the inauguration ceremony of the film that took place in Srikalahasti. Vishnu later tweeted that Nupur would not be a part of the movie because of scheduling conflict issues.

Vishnu had earlier dropped a tweet where he had mentioned that his brother Prabhas had also joined the team of Kannappa. The Ginna star also revealed that this film has been his dream for seven years. "Today, I stand in awe as the adventure of a lifetime unfolds in the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand, as we commence the shooting of ‘Kannappa.’ This dream has been seven years in the making, and its realization is a testament to the divine blessings of Lord Shiva and Parvathi Devi", he had tweeted.
