MUMBAI: Ritesh Sidhwani is a well known producer in the world of Hindi movies. He co-owns the production house Excel Entertainment with actor Farhan Akhtar. Ritesh is going through a major personal loss in his life as his mother has passed away after being treated for an illness in Hinduja hospital in Mumbai.
Celebs like Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Chunky Panday, Malaika Arora, and her sister Amrita Arora, among others came to pay their last respects to her.

Ritesh and Farhan’s Excel Entertainment has produced many films like Dil Chahta Hai, Don, among others. Their series Inside Edge (2017) was nominated for Best Drama Series at the 46th International Emmy Awards followed by Mirzapur in 2018 and Made in Heaven in 2019.
