MUMBAI: The ex-husband of Rakhi Sawant Ritesh has made a serious accusation. While speaking with a few reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday, Ritesh said that a few people are troubling Rakhi and threatening to kill her. Ritesh stated he knew who these people were, but he wouldn't reveal their identities, claiming he wouldn't do so until he had all the necessary proof.
“I will reveal everything, let me get all the evidence first. I am not afraid of anyone. I will name people but let me get the evidence first. I just want to tell you that some people who pretended to be our wellwishers are also involved in this controversy. I will tell you who this person it. We are informing police about it. We do not want media trial. This is related to Rakhi’s security. People are troubling her. She is also getting death threats,” Ritesh said.
Ritesh’s claims come at a time when Rakhi Sawant is hospitalised. The actress recently underwent a surgery after doctors discovered a tumour in her uterus. Previously, Ritesh also shared that Rakhi’s surgery was successful. “Some people were laughing a lot. I think such people are inhuman who make a mockery of somebody’s pain. (shows a photo of a tumour) See how big this rumour is. Rakhi, you don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. Some people are still making baseless statements and trying to defame you. Let me tell them, your time is over,” he said.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with the popular news portal, Rakhi Sawant’s former husband Adil Khan Durrani claimed that her hospitalization was merely a drama to escape jail in the leak video case.
“Doctors haven’t said anything. We don’t know which hospital she is in. If it is a heart attack, I think patients generally need oxygen masks but she (Rakhi Sawant) does not have that too. She is doing this only because she has to surrender to cops soon. This is only a drama to escape going to jail,” he said.
Rakhi Sawant has been booked for offenses under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 500, 504, and 34, which deal with defamation and complicity in criminal intent, respectively, as well as Section 67(A) of the Information and Technology Act (IT Act), which deals with the electronic distribution of sexually explicit videos featuring Adil.
