Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)

Karan Johar made his debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee. The story was all about Rahul, Tina, and Anjali. Two women fall in love with the same man in college in what remains a fluffy, frothy triangle.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)

Karan Johar second film was Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, This was all about  in-your-face larger-than-life family saga with all the emotions one needs to make a film of this nature and stature work- Comedy, Romance, and Copious Tears.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006)

For the first time, the actor, Shah Rukh Khan, swinging his arms was looked at with disdain since it was for a woman outside his married life. The story is all about a footballer whose career comes to a halt post an accident, he’s jealous of his wife’s flourishing career. Rani Mukherjee, the woman he loves, also falls for him. She has a lovely husband but becomes a victim of callousness. Hers is a story very similar to Preity Zinta from Dil Chahta Hai.

My Name Is Khan (2010)

'My Name Is Khan' was a delicate and affectionately crafted drama about the disadvantages of being a Muslim. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol where they don’t have to follow any script or dialogue for chemistry as they have worked multiple times together since 1993, their routine and random conversations could also make for an entertaining viewing.

Student of the Year (2012)

Student Of The Year is the launchpad movie for Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, it was also a relaunch for Karan Johar. This was his first film despite SRK as his hero and first film with debutants. Karan refuses to imagine small things and that was apparent in all the frames of this entertaining film.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)

Tamasha actor, Ranbir Kapoor is apparently not the first one-sided lover of Hindi Cinema, but the immense popularity of 'Channa Mereya' on social media in the last five years has clearly made him one of the most iconic ones. SRK in a cameo explained wonderfully why such love is the best feeling in the world.
