MUMBAI: Teri Meri Doriyaann, starring Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar, may soon go off the air. Yes, you heard it right. The show, which last year was ruling the TRP charts by being in the top 5 even at a 7 pm slot, might soon bid adieu to the TV screens. It is stated that from July, a new show should will get launched, leaving Teri Meri Doriyaann a month to survive.
Reports of Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar's show going off air have been making rounds for quite some time. The channel on which the show airs is quite particular regarding the TRPs. Recently, the channel also axed shows like Imlie and Pandya Store, which were performing decently enough in the TRP charts. However, the said channel demands a certain number, and if a particular show fails to garner the TRP for a long time, the show will get axed. Something similar happened with Teri Meri Doriyaann. The show's TRP was exceptionally well last year. This year too, it was performing decently. However, due to IPL 2024, the TRP of the show got severely affected. The makers of the show brought a leap, new characters, major twists, and turns in the story. Despite that, the show failed to grab good TRPs.
As per a report in Filimbeat, the channel has already given a one-month notice period to the makers of Teri Meri Doriyaann. June will be the last month where the cast will shoot, and the last episodes, although not confirmed, will air either in the last week of June or the first week of July. Teri Meri Doriyaann will be replaced by another show. As of now, the channel is busy fixing which show will replace Teri Meri Doriyaann. No official confirmation from the channel or the actors has been released until now about the show going off the air.
